Meet Sophie
Hi, hello, I’m Sophie. I’m a Yorkshire based wedding planner and coordinator, lover of lists and devoted dog mum. Big Sister Events is named after my own big sister, the person who goes first, works things out and reports back on what is what (and what is absolutely not worth worrying about). That is the role I take on for my couples: your wedding big sister. I am in your corner, protecting your plans and making sure you feel fully looked after.
No Last Minute Stress
My coordination service sits at the heart of everything I do. I take the reins and oversee your day so you can relax and be present. Before the wedding we will have a final details meeting to go through everything together. I take time to understand the small details and highlight the moments that matter most to you both. I also reach out to every supplier to say hello, make sure they have my number and remind them they can contact me with any last minute questions. This means you are not fielding calls and messages when you are trying to unwind in those final days.
On the day itself, I am with you from a couple of hours before your ceremony until after your first dance. I handle any hiccups quietly behind the scenes and stay close by for anything you need. My emergency kit is always at hand, and yes, there are always emergency snacks in there too. Your only job is to enjoy your day and soak up all the joy, love and moments that matter.
