  • Did MNT used to be called The Un-Wedding?

    Yes! MNT stands for Make New Traditions and is the new name for what was formerly known as The Un-Wedding. After 10 years of championing modern, inclusive, and non-traditional weddings in the UK, we’ve evolved into MNT to better reflect who we are today. While the name has changed, our mission remains the same — to support couples and suppliers who want to break the mould and plan weddings that feel 100% true to them.

  • Is MNT only for LGBTQ+ couples?

    Not at all — MNT is for any couple who wants to do things their own way. We are proudly and explicitly LGBTQ+ inclusive, which means every couple is welcome here regardless of identity, relationship type, or how they choose to celebrate. If you want a wedding that feels like you rather than everyone else's, you're in the right place.

    MNT is a UK-wide platform, founded in 2015 and operating across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Ireland. Our wedding fairs take place at unique venues across the UK and our directory features suppliers from across the country.

From celebrants and stylists to venues and photographers, we only list creative businesses who believe every couple deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and supported.

    Browse the Book of Love directory by category — photography, florists, venues, celebrants, and more. Every supplier has been handpicked for their creativity, inclusivity, and quality, so you can trust that anyone you find in the directory aligns with MNT's values. Read their listing, check their social channels, and reach out directly when you find someone who feels right.

  • Is MNT free to use for couples?

    Yes — completely free. Browse the Book of Love directory, read the blog, attend our wedding fairs, and explore all our inspiration at no cost. The only paid products are event tickets (from £7.50 in advance) and MNT Magazine (£15 per issue).

  • How much do tickets to MNT wedding fairs cost?

    Tickets are from £7.50 in advance and slightly more on the door. We recommend booking in advance as our venues are intimate and capacities need to be managed. Children under 14 don't need a ticket.

  • What can I expect at an MNT wedding fair?

    Our wedding fairs are smaller, more considered events than traditional wedding shows. You'll find 15-30+ carefully curated, independent wedding suppliers at each event, all handpicked by us. Expect a friendly, inclusive atmosphere, real conversations with suppliers, and exclusive show-only offers. No teeth-whitening stands, no diet pills — just brilliant creative businesses who love what they do.

  • Where do your wedding fairs take place?

    Our fairs take place at unique, character-led venues across the UK including Brighton, London, Leeds, Glasgow and many more cities. Check our events page for the latest dates and locations.

  • What is MNT Magazine?

    MNT Magazine is a bi-annual print wedding magazine for modern couples. It features real weddings, expert supplier advice, wedding planning tips, and fresh inspiration that actually feels like you. Each issue is £15 and available to order from our website.

  • How can I list my wedding business in the Book of Love directory?

    The Book of Love directory is part of the MNT Membership — a holistic marketing and business growth membership for modern, creative, and inclusive wedding suppliers across the UK and Ireland. Rather than a standalone listing, membership gives you a bespoke-built directory listing plus access to discounted event spaces, online and magazine advertising, a referral scheme, and exclusive MNT opportunities.   • How much does it cost to join the Book of Love directory?

    The Book of Love directory listing is included as part of the MNT Membership, which is priced the same as a standalone directory listing used to be — so it's genuinely a no-brainer. You get significantly more for the same investment. Visit our membership page for current pricing.

  • Can I just join the Book of Love directory without the full membership?

    A standalone directory listing is no longer available — but the MNT Membership is the same price as a standalone listing was, so you're getting everything the membership includes at no extra cost. That includes your directory listing, 50% off event exhibition spaces, online and magazine advertising discounts, a referral scheme, and access to exclusive MNT opportunities.

  • Can I exhibit at an MNT wedding fair without being a member?

    We consider applications from non-members to fill remaining spaces, but MNT Members get priority booking and 50% off the stand price — bringing exhibition down to just £149. Becoming a member first is by far the best way to secure your space and save money at the same time.

  • What is included in the MNT Membership?

    The MNT Membership includes a bespoke-built Book of Love directory listing (worth £399), 50% off exhibition spaces at our wedding fairs (just £149 per event), up to 50% off online advertising across MNT platforms, 50% off MNT Magazine advertising, access to priority features and exclusive collaborations, and our referral scheme where you earn £50 for every successful referral. All for the same price as a standalone directory listing.

  • How long does the MNT Membership last?

    Membership is valid for 12 months from sign-up and renews automatically unless cancelled. You'll be notified before renewal so you can choose to continue or cancel.

  • Is the MNT Membership worth it if I don't plan to attend events?

    Yes — even without the events, the membership price is the same as a standalone directory listing, so you're getting the directory plus all the additional benefits at no extra cost. That said, our members who exhibit at events consistently report some of their best bookings coming from face-to-face connections with couples.

  • How does the MNT referral scheme work?

    Once you're a member you can apply for a unique referral link. Every time you successfully refer another supplier to MNT membership, you earn £50 paid directly to your bank account. The supplier you refer also saves £50 off their first year. Referral payments are made every 3 months.

  • Do I need to be based in the UK to join the MNT Membership?

    Not necessarily — we also accept destination wedding venues, honeymoon specialists, and suppliers who serve couples in the UK and Ireland from abroad.

  • What is The T newsletter?

    The T is MNT's weekly email newsletter exclusively for wedding suppliers. We share honest business advice, marketing tips, and lessons learned from running a wedding business — things we've learned the hard way so you don't have to. Subscribe via our newsletter page.

  • Can I submit a real wedding to MNT?

    We only accept submissions from MNT Members for our blog and Magazine. Visit our submissions page for guidelines on how to submit.
