Meet Amelia Le Bruin aka The Cake Hun
I’m Amelia, the cake designer behind The Cake Hun, a London-based bespoke cake studio creating wedding cakes that are joyful, nostalgic, and made to be genuinely enjoyed!
I believe the best cakes don’t just look beautiful, they bring people together, spark excitement, and become part of the memories made on the day.
Before cakes, I spent over 11 years working in fashion design and production, which deeply shapes the way I approach my work. I’m drawn to colour, texture, balance, and detail, and I bring that same design-led thinking into every cake I make.
My style is inspired by vintage piping and retro celebration cakes, reimagined in a way that feels modern, playful, and personal. Elegant, but never too traditional. I offer a fully bespoke wedding cake service, working closely with each couple to create a cake that reflects their story, style, and celebration. From initial consultations and tastings through to delivery and setup across London, I take care of every detail so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
The Great British Bake Off
Some people may recognise me from The Great British Bake Off in 2019, but baking has been a passion of mine since childhood. It’s always been about people, family kitchens, friends’ birthdays, celebrations, and those moments when everyone gathers around the table. That sense of connection is at the heart of The Cake Hun.
Signature Flavours
All of my wedding cakes are made from scratch using my own recipes and finished with my signature Swiss meringue buttercream. Flavour is just as important to me as design; cakes should be light, balanced, and delicious, not just admired and forgotten. Lemon is my most popular flavour, chocolate will always be my personal favourite, and I love helping couples choose combinations that feel meaningful and memorable.
