Hi, I’m Jen, the artist behind Toasty Type. I make hand-lettered signs, painted artworks and one-off keepsakes that add personality and joy to weddings. Based in the East End of Glasgow, I bring playful craftsmanship and a love of the slightly weird to every commission.

Couples come to Toasty Type for signage and artwork that feels personal, tactile and a bit different. From statement welcome signs to hand-painted jackets and quirky table plans, each piece is designed and painted by hand so it fits your day and makes a memory.
What I make
Bespoke welcome signs, table plans and order-of-day boards
Hand-painted jackets, surfboards, kegs and other wearable or display pieces
Hand-lettered menus, place names and keepsake prints
Illustrated maps and venue paintings to guide guests and create a memento
Large-format signs, chalkboards and unusual surfaces by request
No surface is too weird. I’ve worked on paper, glass, wood, metal, leather, denim, plastic, beer kegs, car doors and even snowboards. If you can imagine it, I’ll try it.
Materials, finishes and craft
Quality matters. I use durable paints and inks suited to the chosen surface and suggest finishes that photograph well. For keepsakes I offer archival papers, hand-sourced ribbons and mounted prints. For wearable pieces I test materials so the artwork lasts.
